Enrolment In High Court: A Step-by-Step Guide

Eligibility to Apply

After completing 2 years of practice as an advocate in lower courts, you are eligible to apply for enrolment as an advocate in the High Court.

Eligibility & Requirements

  1. Photographs

    • Submit three photographs in professional dress, Size: 1″ x 1″.
  2. Fitness Certificates

    • Obtain fitness certificates from two lawyers who are eligible to practice in the High Court. These should be provided on their official letterheads.
  3. Affidavit

    • Provide an affidavit stating that no criminal proceedings or proceedings of professional misconduct are pending against you in any court of law.
  4. Case List

    • Prepare a list of 20 cases that you have conducted in lower courts.
